A Cyber VRC Tabletop Exercise

Volunteer Leon, North Florida’s Hands on Network affiliate, will be assessing the capability of its internet based Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) via the Operation Volunteer Placement (OVP) Tabletop Exercise on May 25 2011.

This exercise will serve as Volunteer Leon’s opportunity to load test its internet based VRC system’s ability to match hundreds of spontaneous volunteers with community and faith based organizations requesting manpower within a very short period of time.

To ensure that the system is thoroughly tested Volunteer Leon is asking for your assistance in playing the role of a simulated Spontaneous Volunteer via an on-line disaster exercise system.

The OVP exercise will be facilitated via the ONX System which will allow you to participate as a simulated spontaneous volunteer from the comfort of your office.

This can also serve as an opportunity for you to observe first-hand how a Virtual VRC works.
